Transitswap fee discounts
Check Transit Swap’s wallet-based fee reduction before comparing the cost of a first aggregation swap. The discount changes the platform charge, while network gas and quoted output need separate attention.
- Published base aggregation fee
- 0.3% in Transit Swap’s Trading Fees & Discounts guide, before an applicable tier reduction. This rate concerns aggregation swaps, not every cross-chain charge.
- Discount basis
- The combined TPT and xTPT holdings in the user’s wallet determine the tier. Transit Swap applies the corresponding reduction automatically during the transaction; tier thresholds and rates can change.
- Network gas
- A separate blockchain-network charge, varying with congestion and transaction complexity.
Check the fee before a first swap
Suppose a first aggregation quote is available, but you have not confirmed the wallet’s discount tier. Establish the applicable tier before counting a saving.
- Inspect the fee in swap parameters for the selected token pair and amount.
- Open the fees discount details and check the tier for the wallet’s combined TPT and xTPT holdings.
- Confirm the quoted fee reflects the applicable tier, then check the swap’s gas cost and any separate gas charge for a required token approval before signing.
Matching tier terms and the displayed fee completes the discount check; it does not confirm execution. If the tier or charge remains unclear, leave the swap unsubmitted and review the discount details again.
Compare fees on a consistent basis
A smaller platform charge can coexist with a higher network cost. Keep the input amount, token pair, and network consistent when isolating the discount’s effect. Percentage comparisons also require the same fee base; check the quoted fee amount rather than assuming a calculation basis.
The Router v3 aggregation reference links
normalFee
to
feeRate
and describes
fee
as the actual fee paid. An unsubmitted quote cannot establish an on-chain payment, however, and these fields alone do not explain discount eligibility. The same reference defines
totalAmountOut
as estimated destination-token output, so that value does not confirm receipt.
Costs beyond the discounted rate
Price changes and limited liquidity can affect swap output independently of the fee reduction. If an on-chain transaction fails and reverts, the network does not refund gas already consumed.
Holding TPT or xTPT for eligibility also exposes that balance to token-price changes. A reduced trading fee alone does not establish whether acquiring qualifying tokens would save money overall.
